Kim Kardashian Breaks Silence On ‘Vogue’ Cover

Apparently Kim Kardashian was just as shocked as we were to find out that she and fiance Kanye West would be featured on the April 2014 cover of ‘Vogue.’ ‘It’s the biggest dream come true and I’m so honored,’ Kim said during a March 25 interview on ‘Late Night with Seth Meyers.’

Kim Kardashian, 33, opened up about her much buzzed-about Vogue cover for the first time on Late Night with Seth Meyers, revealing that landing the coveted cover came as a total shock to her. ”I knew the photo shoot was happening of course,” Kim said, “but I didn’t know it would be the cover.” What an amazing surprise that must have been!

Despite the very public backlash against Kim’s Vogue cover, the reality star told host Seth Meyers that she and fiance Kanye West couldn’t be happier with the shoot, and that they are so proud to be Vogue trailblazers. “Kanye’s the first rapper to be on, I’m the first reality star to be on, and we’re the first interracial couple to be on the cover of Vogue,” Kim said. 

Kim confessed that she grew up dreaming that she would one day be on the cover of the world’s #1 mag, and also revealed that she has a collection of vintage Vogue magazines. “It’s the biggest dream come true and I’m so honored,” Kim gushed to Seth. “And to have Anna Wintour pick us, i’m just so honored.”

The hardest part for Kim was keeping the top-secret photo shoot hidden from her sisters.

“They were a little suspicious,” she said. “But I just said Kanye was shooting something at my mom’s house and blamed it on him. I don’t keep the best secrets. I kind of have the biggest mouth ever.” Well, this one was definitely worth the wait!

All of Kimye’s Vogue pics are stunning, but the photo shoot itself had its mishaps. Like when Kim’s 9-month-old daughter, North West, had a little accident while posing nude for an intimate family photo on the couch!

“North peed on Kanye right at that moment,” Kim revealed to Seth during the interview. “He was trying to tell me. I had to get up and clean him off.”

“It’s a good memory,” she joked.

That’s too funny! We can’t imagine Kanye being too thrilled about that little surprise! Still, we think he would agree that North totally nailed her first Vogue shoot.

“People were in my bedroom,” Lauren Conrad tells Allure magazine of her time on The Hills. Now, she’s focused on herself, her new fiance William Tell and her five businesses, which includes her two clothing lines!

Lauren’s parents have been married since she was 17! Her mom said it’s important to make a space to be together. Lauren says that room is her bedroom:

“I wanted it to be very calm,” she told the magazine, adding that she is trying to stop working in the bedroom. “Your bed is for sleep and sex.”

Lauren smolders in a Kaufmanfranco dress on the cover and a dress by Juan Carlos Obando as well as jeans from herLC Lauren Conrad for Kohl’s line inside the magazine.

Her sexy smokey eye was done by celebrity makeup artist Melanie Inglessis.

She aimed to keep her skin “fresh and dewy.”

According to Allure, “she drew a thick line just below the creases on the star’s eyelids with a black kohl liner, then smudged a gray cream shadow into the creases. For a subtle glow, Inglessis blended a golden bronzer on Conrad’s cheekbones, nose, and forehead. Then she pressed on a blush-nude lip color.”

Hairstylist Serge Normant styled her hair with a ’60′s feel. “There’s a chicness about it, even though it’s sexy.” He used a volumizing spray, then blow dried with a Harry Josh Pro Dryer, then curled for a “hint of retro, but soft, sex appeal.”
