Angelina Jolie and Daughter Vivienne Featured in New 'Maleficent' Photos

Entertainment Weekly shares a sneak peak at Angelina Jolie and daughter Vivienne in the new film Maleficent.
In the latest issue of the magazine, Jolie talks about why they cast her daughter in the role of the young Princess Aurora.
Jolie says, "The other 3- and 4-year-old performers wouldn’t come near me. It had to be a child that liked me and wasn’t afraid of my horns and my eyes and my claws. So it had to be Viv."

However, Jolie’s son Pax didn’t react in quite the same way: "When Pax saw me for the first time, he ran away and got upset  and I thought he was kidding, so I was pretending to chase him until I actually found him crying. I had to take off pieces of the makeup in front of him to show him it was all fake and not freak out so much."
Pax and Zahara are extras in a christening scene in the film, but in terms of a full-on foray into the profession, they won't be nudged by their mother.
"We think it’s fun for our kids to have cameos and join us on set, but not to be actors," she told Entertainment Weekly.
Here’s a synopsis of the movie from Disney:
“Maleficent is the untold story of Disney’s most iconic villain from the 1959 classic Sleeping Beauty. A beautiful, pure-hearted young woman, Maleficent has an idyllic life growing up in a peaceable forest kingdom, until one day when an invading army threatens the harmony of the land. Maleficent rises to be the land’s fiercest protector, but she ultimately suffers a ruthless betrayal an act that begins to turn her pure heart to stone. Bent on revenge, Maleficent faces an epic battle with the invading king’s successor and, as a result, places a curse upon his newborn infant Aurora. As the child grows, Maleficent realizes that Aurora holds the key to peace in the kingdom and perhaps to Maleficent’s true happiness as well.”
