There is still no word on what caused the sudden death of Peaches Geldof, with the results of an autopsy shedding little to no light on the events surrounding her death Monday. UK police announced Wednesday that while the results of the autopsy were inconclusive, it could be weeks before a toxicology test is completed.
Geldof was found dead in her Wrotham apartment on Monday; the daughter of Irish rocker Bob Geldof was 25. Kent police are still treating the case "as a non-suspicious, unexplained sudden death."
Meanwhile, with the permission of her family, Mother&Baby magazine has posthumously published Geldof's final column, in which she describes the effect her two young sons had on her life. The article features a sweet picture of Geldof with her sons Astala and Phaedra, whom she affectionately calls her "two fat little cherubs."
"I lived a life of wanton wanderlust," Geldof says of her life before she had children. She describes her jet-set lifestyle before motherhood as "a haze of youth and no responsibilities."
"But it was becoming boring. I wanted an anchor, I craved it," she writes. "And, when I had two wailing, smiling, joyful little blobs of waddling pink flesh, they became my entire existence, and saved me from one of pure apathy."
In what will now be Geldof's final published words, she describes her life as a mother as perfect. "I had the perfect life, two beautiful babies who loved me more than anything. It was, and is, bliss."
In a statement released on Monday, Geldof's widower, rocker Thomas Cohen said he would raise their children "with their mother in their hearts every day."
